Skunks are unwelcome guests on your lawn in more ways than one. Not only do they have their infamous defense mechanism (an extremely smelly Spyra!), they also can damage your lawn in the process of searching for insects. A skunk will use its nose and root up the turf searching for insects–especially grubs!–to eat just under the soil surface. It is important to minimize the presence of grubs by keeping the lawn healthy and by using proper insect and grub controls.
